While the Laal Singh Chaddha actor spoke to Kapil about the lack of praise for his shows in the past eleven years, he revealed that he had gone through a ‘rough emotional phase’ and Kapil’s comedy shows supported him. “It’s been eleven years, but this is my first time participating because my last two to two and a half years have been very tough. I was going through a difficult emotional phase. During this time, I watched comedy with Kapil and it supported me a lot. You made me laugh when I was sad and depressed. Then I felt that I had to come here,” says Aamir.

While the episode featured fun skits by Sunil Grover and Krushna Abhishek, there were many heart-warming moments as well. In the episode, Aamir spoke about not attending award shows, and even admitted that his last two performances on the big screen were bad.
