Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Centers New Healthcare Sponsor

WESTHAMPTON BEACH, NY — The curtain recently rose on a new partnership between the Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center and Northwell Health.

According to WHBPAC and Northwell Health, the health care network will be the theater’s “official health care sponsor.”

The effort “marks an important milestone in WHBPAC’s ongoing commitment to advancing community well-being and enriching the East End’s cultural landscape,” both agreed.

The partnership will bring a host of health and wellness initiatives to the WHBPAC, improving the overall experience for patrons, artists and staff.

“We are excited to join forces with Northwell Health,” said Julienne Penza-Boone, executive director of the WHBPAC. “Their commitment to excellence and community health aligns perfectly with our mission to provide high-quality cultural arts programs while supporting the well-being of our community. More locally, we are big fans of Peconic Bay Medical Center under the excellent leadership of Director Amy Loeb, so this sponsorship is a dream come true.”

Moving forward, Northwell Health will provide a range of services and support, including 15 full Northwell Health scholarships for financially disadvantaged students in the community to participate in high-quality arts education experiences as part of WHBPAC’s Arts Academy.

In addition, Northwell Health will support several WHBPAC community initiatives, including School Day Performances – a bus-in field trip program serving nearly 10,000 students each year from Nassau County to Montauk, featuring international curriculum-based performances on the WHBPAC stage for grades PK through 12.

Other programs include “Melodies & Memories,” the theater’s music and theater program for students 65 and older; “Upbeat!”, a daytime music education program for students with special needs and their caregivers; “The Holiday Stroll,” a community shopping event designed to raise money for WHBPAC and stimulate the economy in downtown Westhampton Beach; and WHBPAC’s quarterly blood drives.

“Northwell Health’s partnership with the Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center is a powerful testament to the convergence of healthcare and the arts for the betterment of our community. Working together, Northwell not only brings expert medical care and resources to the forefront, but also improves the well-being of community members. In addition, Peconic Bay Medical Center’s long-standing support of WHBPAC is now expanded to include the partnership, fostering a deeper connection and commitment to holistic health and cultural enrichment,” said Amy Loeb, Executive Director of Peconic Bay.
