Meow Wolf confirms location of exhibition in Los Angeles

Meow Wolf has confirmed the location of its sixth permanent exhibition. The new Los Angeles location will be found in the Cinemark complex at Howard Hughes Los Angeles.

The Santa Fe based art collective revealed the next location as reports emerged that the immersive art experience was headed to a cinema in West Los Angeles.

“We’re creating our next surreal dreamworld in a West Los Angeles movie theater, a nod to the city’s cinematic soul,” said Amanda Claychief development officer at Meow Wolf.

Meow Wolf Los Angeles will take inspiration from the environment and translate it into something otherworldly, never seen before yet familiar to Angelenos.

Real estate investment firm Cannon TTM, which owns and operates the Howard Hughes retail and entertainment destination in Los Angeles, also confirmed that Meow Wolf will be its newest tenant.

In a press release, Cannon TTM said that Meow Wolf will move into the current Cinemark space after extensive renovations, with the new Exhibition Meow Wolf will open in early 2026.

“We are pleased that one of the most innovative and… compelling entertainment experiences are coming to Howard Hughes Los Angeles,” said Tyler MateenFounder and CEO of Cannon TTM.

“Meow Wolf is a cultural institution that will further cement Howard Hughes Los Angeles as a go-to destination in West Los Angeles.”

Howard Hughes Los Angeles gets a new tenant

Meow Wolf started in 2008 as a small art collective in Santa Fe. It is now a leader in the world immersive art experiences.

The first permanent location, the House of Eternal Return, launched in 2016. Attractions in Las Vegas, Denver and Grapevine followed. There will be a second location in Texas in 2024.
